On Thursday 12th September at 7.00 pm, in partnership with CFAN UK, we will be hosting a special prayer meeting, focusing on Shine Your LIght when we will be praying for Evangelists and Leaders across the UK! Over 100 evangelists will join us to get us praying into Shine Your Light, as we increase our prayer cover as we seek to mobilise 100,000 Believers this Christmas to touch a nation.This meeting will be available on Zoom, YouTube and Facebook. Letter from Dr Jonathan Oloyede to UK Church Leaders
Dear Leader Wouldn’t it be amazing if over 1 million people were reached with the Gospel this Christmas in communities across these Isles? Last year, over 78,000 Believers from close to 800 churches took their Carol Services and Christmas events onto the street in a national campaign called Shine Your Light. We saw 68 denominations, ministries and streams coming together to be serious about uniting the Church to go beyond its four walls. We had endorsement from many Church leaders, Christians involved in sport, entertainment and politicals, even the Prime Minister offered us in a message. This year, Shine Your Light is taking place again between Friday 13th – Sunday 15th December. We are encouraging churches to share with us their events that weekend, so we can touch a nation. We are believing for at least 100,00 christians to take part this year in communities across England, Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland and the Republic. Many new partners are coming on board this year too! Would you put the date in your diary now to be part of what could perhaps be the largest Christmas outreach to the nation? We are looking for Shine Your Light Champions who can champion this in your church, network or workplace. We are currently refreshing our national website – www.shineyourlight.org.uk – with some great resources to help you with programme ideas to great materials you can give away at your event. There are hundreds of intercessors praying for Shine Your Light even now, because we believe God is wanting to do something. I’m writing on behalf of the many people and partners coordinating Shine Your Light to invite you to consider now how you might want to take part!
